I am on 10.04.1 and also for me the problem is not solved (Dell Latitude E5500 with Intel graphic card). Disabling compiz completely did help for me. Disabling just the Place plugin as mentioned earlier (disabling plugin autosort and remove it) did also _not_ help in my case.
