I have a intel GMA 4500 Graphics, I can get 85 fps in GLX gears, and
play neverball with a good frame rate.
The gnome-control-center won't allow me to enable Compiz effects,
presumably because it does not think I have a good enough graphics card.

gnome-appearance-properties applet will not enable compz effects. I have a good
3D GPU.
