You have been subscribed to a public bug: When clicking a menu, such as "File" "View" et cetera, upon closing there is a white flash the size of the menu (like a redraw issue). This happens for all menus all the time. I've heard there is supposed to be fade. I've spoken to others with a wide range of graphics card and drivers who are experiencing the same thing. So, apparently we are getting a block of white instead of a fade.
This is similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/687567 except it is for all menus all the time, no speed required. My machine is an x120e with the e350 cpu/apu combo (Amd Fusion).
