@Fabio Marconi Thank you. Obviously, you are right. It was a metacity theme and it works well on Ubuntu Classic No Effects. From this point of view, ignore my previous comment. OTOH, the behavior still remains a bit strange, but I admit this is not a top priority. Thanks again.
