Dear @Derek: I can't reproduce this problem. I'm in no-win situation. (Ah... that is bug squad-er habits, non-reproducible bug is our defeat!)
However, this much can be said: below results from my testing. - I can't encountered in any updates after comment#7. - I can't encountered in latest natty too. - Now, ubuntu-11.04-desktop-i386.iso (natty's release image) works fine too. So, when you using latest natty, but the crash still continued, that indicate another problem occured...probably.
