This work-around did not help in my case. The behaviour is still exactly
the same.
I noticed one more thing:
If I have a chromium window which is frozen and I start typing in the address
bar, the auto-complete still works. ie. The dropdown list is opened and I can
see the drop-down reacting correctly to input. The address bars text field is
still not redrawn.
Also, cursor is correctly drawn as a bar if I hover over some text or
text input field.
