I found an interesting behavior with my Nova X600 laser mouse. It has some buttons on it to switch between modes with different frequencies.
Whenever I press it, window moving becomes smooth for a few second (approx 30s). Then, it becomes extremely laggy again. I can reproduce it all the time. Note that it doesn't matter if I change the frequency up or down. The only fact of changing seems sufficient to "reset" this lag problem.
