Eduards, When you say you're using my PPA, is that ppa:vanvugt/compiz, ppa:vanvugt/unity or both? Please make sure you're using both for the best performance.
Also, please try enabling "Force full screen redraws (buffer swap) on repaint" in the Workarounds section of ccsm. I find this produces the fastest graphics experience with the PPAs (and presumably will in Ubuntu 12.04 too).
