** Description changed: - I like Xubuntu. I tried it on several computers but ran into a video - problem. There is no support for Widescreen monitors. I installed it - on my Netbook with a 9 inch screen. Normally I run 1024x600 display - resolution with Ubuntu. When I installed Xubuntu it seemed to work, - but... - When I click on the Settings Manger, the button that says 'Close' if below the bottom of the screen. You can't click on the button or move the window higher. The only way to close the window is to click the X at the upper right of the screen and quit without saving any changes. The Settings Manager wasn't the only program that had this problem. I had a similar problem on a laptop with a 14 inch screen. When I run with 800x600 resolution, the 'Close' button is also below the bottom of the screen. There is no possible way to click on it. I didn't have this problem at 1024x768 resolution. - It seems like Xubuntu does not support screen resolutions less than - 1024x768. Bummer. This would be the perfect netbook operating system - it could fit on smaller displays. + Steps to reproduce - + 1. Change resolution to anything below 1024x768 (ie 800x600) + 2. Open any sort of dialog box that is taller than 600 pixels. (ie nvidia-settings, xchat preferences, evolution preferences)
