Confirmed. I get 1px windows randomly and rarely. I have not yet been
able to get any information about them. Though I remember recently
smspillaz mentioned that GTK (?) or something creates 1x1 windows at
offset (-1, -1). You can see details of those (normally invisible)
windows by running "xwininfo -all" and then clicking on various windows.
