Did a 'unity --reset' because when I logged on, I just got a blank screen with a mouse cursor. I tried to be patient but after a couple of minutes I started up another console and pkilled compiz. A few things might be related: - My last session was Unity 2D and metacity (ran much better; something's definitely messed up with compiz for me) - I've installed fglrx-updates (I have an ATI card). unity / compiz are back up, though. Whatever it was has straighted itself out (though I'm watching the compiz process closely).
