- With compiz gnome panels with autohide do only open on desktop 1, not on
- any other virtual desktop. So if you switch to desktop 2 you cannot
- switch back to desktop 1 or even logout because the panels do not open.
- This problem only exists with compiz, not with metacity. So I think this
- is a bug in compiz.
+ When using Gnome classic (compiz version) the panels disappear after 
switching to another virtual desktop. Even if you switch back to desktop 1 via 
cursor keys, the panel remain hidden. So you have no way to do anything (start 
applications, logout or shutdown).
+ This happens only in the compiz version, not with metacity (Gnome classic no 
effects). So I think it is a bug with compiz.
