Fresh login to Unity You could try this on WS 1 though maybe better to go ahead & switch to another WS Open gnome-terminal first, it should open in upper left corner Then open a nautilus window from the Home Folder quicklist, either a Default or custom added Bookmark like Documents, Pictures, ect At least here nautilus fairly consistently opens on top without focus. If there is no issue then close out both, & try again.
