(amd64 with multi-arch requiring packages) sudo apt-get install linux-generic-lts-quantal xserver-xorg-lts-quantal libgl1-mesa-dri-lts-quantal libegl1-mesa-drivers-lts-quantal libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal:i386 Reboot, go to ccsm -> OpenGL -> Unredirect Driver Blacklist and remove the "9.0" or simply blank the option. Then try playing games et cetera.
