I am having the same issues with the Radeon HD 6450, and Ubuntu 13.10,
14.04. Everything after 12.04. The issues doesn't happen in Ubuntu 12.04
LTS which i use as my primary system. I also have tearing with Xubuntu,
Lubuntu even on 12.04. Issues happening with both proprietary and free
driver.
