Jan, can You please clarify which versions fixed the problem? Output from dpkg seems to be abrupt in Your comment.
Also what I've checked is that windowses do not move randomly when I connect external display, they are going wild after I disconnect the monitor. Chris, patches for precise - did You picked them from Trusty based fixes or there are specific new fixes as well?
