Subject: European Conference on Complex Systems 2007 (ECCS'07) in Dresden

Dear Colleague,

herewith, I would like to invite you to participate in an interesting
upcoming event, the

European Conference on Complex Systems 2007 (ECCS'07) in Dresden

from October 1 to 6, 2007.

The aim of this conference is to bring together all the different
communities involved in complex systems research from physics to biology,
from information technology to brain sciences, from social science to
artificial life, from traffic science to economics, and more. With
well-known international keynote speakers, contributed talks, poster
sessions, satellite workshops, invited speakers, awards, and a showcase of
European projects in complexity science (CRP Forum), we will offer you
many great opportunities to get inspired and present your work. Thanks to financial support by various sponsors, we will most likely be able to keep
the conference fees reasonably low.

Dresden and its neighbourhood (Berlin, Leipzig, Prague, etc.) offer a
phantastic scientific environment with world-famous institutions and
various Max Planck Institutes such as the one for Physics of Complex
Systems. At the same time, Dresden is a beautiful, touristic, and well
reachable city. It offers a number of exceptional museums and tourist
sites of international reputation and is located in the beautiful scenery
of the Elbe river world heritage. Hiking tours through Saxon
Switzerland will offer you spectacular views. A trip to Meissen allows you
to visit the world famous porcelain manufactory.

Please visit our website

www.trafficforum.org/dresden

for further information and registration. There, you will find all
deadlines and a

Call for Satellite Workshops

which gives you the opportunity to set your own focus and promote emergent
fields, even with some financial support by the organizers of ECCS'07.

I will be glad to welcome you in Dresden and look forward to your
participation,

Dirk Helbing (ECCS'07 Coordinating Local Organizer)
