Institut thématique - New Trends in Mathematics for Complex
Systems, Paris 23-25 avril 2007
This new series of Thematic Institute is coordinated by the Complex
Systems Institute Paris Ile-de-France (CSI PIF). The event will
take place in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Paris. The topics
for the April 23-28 week will be "New trends in Mathematics for
studies of Complex systems".
The aim of the Thematic Institute is to provide in-depth reference
lecture courses on new directions for the complex systems studies
to a multi-disciplinary audience of researchers as well as advanced
students.
Participation is free but number of attendees is limited.

Ecole d'été - Complex systems summer school de l'institut des

The school will be divided into two independent parts:
"Advanced Thematic Introductions" will take place over the first
two weeks of the event (July 30-August10). - These first days are
devoted to theoretical courses whose aim is to provide in-depth
reference lecture courses to a multi-disciplinary audience of
researchers as well as advanced students in mathematics, physics
and computer sciences. The lectures should take into account that
not all prospective students are expected to be familiar with all
the fields covered. The courses could treat of specific theoretical
concepts and methods of complex systems.
"Theory and Practice", aimed at a younder audience (August 11 -
August 26). These days are mainly dedicated to carrying a project
whereby students will acquire practical experience in dealing with
complex systems.
