Leave the user name and password empty. :) Nautilus has some weird
"usability feature" there. You need to go to menu "File" say "Connect to
server" and select "WebDAV". Then enter all information and say connect.
After that, you will have a new mountpoint in the left bar, if you open
"Places" there. Double click this one and you are in the WebDAV dir.

It's kinda strange, that they do no support that for Nautilus to *sigh*.

Thanks for reporting. I think that is due to the memory backend that
works in the background, which is only for testing purposes. But we will
keep that in mind.

That is kind weird, I'll look into the requests. Which client did you
finally use? Konqueror?

Yes, that is ok, the memory backend "fakes" this data instead of using
live data. That allows us to test without breaking test cases with
dates. ;) Anyway: Thanks for the hint!

I's main purpose is to allow editing through HTTP. :) HTTP was bild for
read-only access to servers, initially, and WebDAV is a protocoll that
adds editing facilities on that top.
I don't think there are too few tools supporting it. Both major file
browsers on linux Desktops support it, AFAIK all latest versions of the
Windows Internet Explorer and thererfore also Explorer support it. Mac
also has a build in client. So, basically you can use it AOTB with any
OS today. :)
Thanks to everyone for reporting their issues and (at least for us that
is amazing to hear) the successes. :)
Regards,
Toby
