Depends. Some people on the list like the Mill very much. Some prefer the
TNT. It all depends on the monitor and resolution you run. Look around to
see if you like TNT's display at your favorite resolution. It all depends
on you.
If you get the TNT, then you can afford not to have a Voodoo 1/2 card.
Anyway, nobody's stopping.
If you have decided to stick to the Mill, then getting a Voodoo 2 would be
the next good thing although some might disagree. Since you only get the
Voodoo 2, later on if you want to get something else (ATI Rage 128???) to
change your aging Mill, you just pop in the new card.

The SB Live's midi still sucks. XG still rulez :) Get a MX300 card and
you'll still be able to use the daughterboard with the connector. The Live
doesn't come with one :(

For a P2 300, my advice is you better get a hardware decoder. The TNT can
do software decoding but I'm quite skeptical with the prrformance on a P2
300. Nothing like getting a hardware based. Look around for the Realmagic
Hollywood line. Supposedly, their new ones rock. If you want to be safe,
get Creative's. As for the drives, Toshiba's 2nd generation SDM1102 is
quite a bargain if you really look around. Whatever you do, don't get
Creative's 5x. It is region locked.
If you get an MX300 soundcard (vortex 2 chip), it supports AC3 sound
decoding. The Live is only supported via their Desktop Theater 5.1 speakers.
Look at http://merlin.kmsi.org/pc-dvd/index2.html also for some reviews on
DVD kits.
