                        World Exclusive! Beta Test
                        Myth II

                        Vince Broady, Editorial Director
                        GameSpot

Usually the most important time in a game's development
is during its beta testing period. That's when a working,
mostly finished copy is tested by real-world users for
stability, compatibility, performance and overall quality
as a game. This is the time when critical bugs are caught,
play-balancing issues are resolved and questionable
features are dropped or refined. Beta testers are often
the last, best hope for the gaming community.

It's a big responsibility and a lot of fun. Imagine the thrill
of being among the first players to explore a
cutting-edge entertainment product. Say for instance,
Bungie Software's Myth II: Soulblighter. This sizzling
strategy game is the follow-up to last year's Myth: The
Fallen Lords, widely acclaimed as one of the most
innovative and original games ever released in the genre.
Myth's unique graphic style, realistic 3D environment and
extremely fast-paced gameplay made it something
              special.

Myth II promises more of the same, only much, much
better. The developers at Bungie have been hard at
work improving almost every aspect of the game, from
the graphics engine to the multiplayer support and
beyond. When Myth II ships sometime later this year, it
will be among the most talked about and played strategy
              games.

But you may not have to wait to play Myth II. Through an
exclusive agreement with Bungie Software, readers of
GameSpot and AnchorDesk are invited to apply to
become beta testers for the game. When the application
process ends later this month, 1,000 lucky individuals will
be selected by Bungie to receive beta versions of the
software, which they will then play and critique.

Think you've got what it takes to shape the future of this
most-anticipated game? Head on over to GameSpot and
fill out our Myth II Beta Test application, open to
interested PC and Mac gamers. Click for more.
