I ran some experiments to see if the RAVE bias parameter has a strong
effect. It turns out that it doesn't as long as it's in the right order of
magnitude.

In the chart below, the X axis is actually b^2 / (0.5 * 0.5) in Silver's formula. These are experiments against GNU Go, 9x9 games, giving Orego 1
second per move.

Of course, your mileage may vary.
