The 2013 version is quite usable in wine, and the screenshots of the new version look exactly the same so I would expect it to work as well. Sometimes the stones don't display or the board grid is drawn wrong (19x19 in a 9x9 game), but minimizing and maximizing the window normally fixes this.
The UI has some severe usability issues that are a much bigger nuisance on any platform than the wine-specific glitches are on Linux.
