I had been subscribed to this list several years ago (I even hosted it in the late 90s), but stopped my subscription at least 5 years ago. And suddenly, a few months ago, a problem on the list triggered the re-subscription a several old subscribers, including me. I'm for one very happy with this. But probably most of the people who unsubscribed in the past just didn't want to receive it, and could have been clicking "Report Spam" on all the emails since this incident, thus marking the list as a high source of spams.
