I use pine (alpine) to read email
to this address. I have no spam filters in
place, and see everything, including many
emails from "me" telling me I've been hacked.
Things will get lost in this pile.

I use an independent address to monitor
list traffic.
I am not logged in everyday, and spend
times in the forest where there is no cell service.
I respond to things as soon as I see them (modulo
lack of coffee.)
