It would be very interesting (to me, at least) if someone at the event
can ask the pros how much of a 9x9 "book" they feel they have. (And,
after the game, if they felt they were ahead, behind or about equal at
the move 10 point.)

In my study of 9x9 openings, the pro openings (*) are nothing special,
and I'm usually quite happy to diverge from them early on, and instead
follow the openings of strong amateurs who play a lot of 9x9.

*: Which almost all come from the Japanese MiniGo series; I've still to
find any source of 9x9 game records from Chinese or Korean
professionals. The minigo series was played at rather fast time controls.
