I'm basing this on human psychology, we (as humans) have a strong tendency to overestimate our achievements and not see them in perspective. We are really impressed with the play of great players so it's natural to believe they are playing pretty close to perfection, or closer than they are. Actually, we tend to think that about a a lot of things. Very few people for instance imagined how slow computers really were in the 1980's and I think Bill Gates was quoted as saying than 64K was more memory that anyone would be likely to put to use, etc. In other words we tend to have a fairly limited perspective, all of us. > > Jonas > > _______________________________________________ > Computer-go mailing list > [email protected] > http://dvandva.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/computer-go >
