In the workshop these boards were mainly used for Amazons, a modern classic which can be analysed be help of combinatorial game theory. The board is held by Theo Tegos from Edmonton who was a top programmer for Amazons in the early years of this century. Currently Prof. Richard Lorentz and his group have the strongest Amazons program (based on a Monte-carlo hybrid). > > It was made during a Dagstuhl workshop on algorithmic > > combinatorial game theory, in February 2002. > > http://www.dagstuhl.de/Gruppenbilder/02081.A.B.JPG Ingo. -- Neu: GMX De-Mail - Einfach wie E-Mail, sicher wie ein Brief!
