In 2011 there will be four SLOW bot tournaments on KGS, each lasting for
five days and using slow time limits. They will all be 19x19. The
schedule is at

They all start on a (European) Sunday evening, at 22:00 GMT. (It was to
have been 24:00 but I changed it to 22:00 at the request of European
players.) They run through the week and end on Friday.
The February SLOW tournament will be a 7-round Swiss with 19x19 boards,
8 hours each of main time, sudden death. It will use Chinese rules with
7.5 points komi. There are details at

Registration is now open. To enter, please read and follow the
instructions at http://www.weddslist.com/kgs/how/index.html . The rules
are given at http://www.weddslist.com/kgs/rules.html . Your bot must be
fairly strong to enter: as a minimum requirement, it must have beaten
SimpleBot, after correct scoring, in one of the monthly KGS tournaments.
