KGS is suffering from bad lag. This is within the server. I have
experienced response times typically about two seconds, and up to 12
seconds.
This does not really matter for the Slow bot tournament. Lag of 10
seconds per move won't exceed 30 minutes per player, so unless they are
planning to use all their time, the bots should not be affected.
However it may make it harder for operators to get their bots started,
unless they are aware of the problem.
Also, wms went to bed at 11:00 GMT. When he wakes up, he will try to
fix whatever is wrong, which may require another outage and restart of
the server. This will be during round 2. Bot operators should be
prepared for this, with manual restarts or with suitable scripts.
