Am I misreading this? The several black groups can't take a white liberty 
without killing themselves, but white can approach and kill one of them, since 
the big white group has four liberties. After one black group is killed, white 
can easily kill the others. It can't ever reduce itself to a single liberty, 
but that's possible for white and impossible for black.
