So the best program at every given time is clearly enough.
I was surprised that there doesn't seem to exist a more extensive
summary anywhere else (?). One can of course think of reasons to doubt
such a listwise comparison due to possible differences in how the rating
was measured and what computing power was used (or several other reasons
in fact). But I am kind of dreaming of an overview that starts with the
first program able to complete a full game, and up till today's date in
the same plot.
Any recommendations?
The information at http://www.computer-go.info/h-c/index.html may be
some use. But it is so unsystematic that you can deduce very little
from it.
