Yes,  I understand how this works.     My point is that 19x19 lasts longer
on average than chess because the board is really big.    We don't have to
debate it,  just look at the average number of moves per game.    For chess
it's something like 40 moves at the top levels,  that is 40 per side or 80
ply.   What is it for go?    A quick glance shows that on average (looking
at kgs games)  I see many over 200 and most over 100 and they are still in
progress.
