Not a major problem but something I'm sure is easy to sort out when you know how.
Basically, I have an old Compaq Deskpro en that I have as a second computer which has worked fine for a few years now and still is. However, yesterday I replaced the old 20Gig Hard Disk with a Western Digital 80Gig (ATA not serial) and reinstalled Windows XP Home. The one minor niggle I have and don't know how to resolve is during boot up. Both from cold or just restart I get presented with just the black screen (prior to any windows screens) with the following words: <snip> The following configuration options where automatically updated: DISK: 80026 MB .... CD-ROM: HP-CD .... If you are running Unix, you need to configure your system using the computer setup utility (F10) Compaq Desk Pro :Save Changes (This bit highlighted) <snip> At this stage all I need to do is hit F2 and the PC boots up fine without any problems, but I wondered how I can get it to boot up straight through? I wondered whether it was trying to boot up from CD, but I don't seem to be able to get to the 'post' screen (I think that's what you call it) where I can check the boot order etc, my other PC I think was F8 to get to this, but that doesn't work on the Compaq. Any help would be great.
