I don't have a router, but I got High Speed Internet with Earthlink for
the first time and I'm pretty disappointed in the speed. Downloads and
uploads are quite slow at the 1.5mb level. I had this same speed with
att more than once and the first time it was so fast I was incredibly
impressed. The second time it was a bit slower. I'm using a new computer
now well newer than my old one. I got it at a yard sale for $25. It's a
couple years newer than my old one was. It has the capacity to have more
memory than the old one, but right now it's quite slow. I don't really
know what it needs, maybe more memory. At the time it just needed a
power supply to run and that problem was fixed. I don't know if it's
this computer or earthlink connection. I was thinking of getting a
faster connection with earthlink up to 3.0, but I may instead focus on
getting this computer up to speed.
