first of all, please switch to safe mode, and do the full scan, this way we make sure the trojan is not hided anywhere in the system. (to boot into safe mode; when booting the computer, and before the splash of Windows appear you should be hitting F8 numerous times, until you prompted to some options, one of which is the safe mode).
While in the safe mode and after the complete scan, you may install SPYBOT S&D which is a spyware removal kit..it is fabulous and do a good job, but since you use Norton, I would install the companion TeaTimer(comes with SpyBot) and after a couple of routine restarts of the machine, uninstall it, because it will slow down the system; If it didnt, dont remove it. After you install SpyBot, run the update ( * sure your antivirus is up- to-date ?) and do the IMMUNIZE >> then do CHECK FOR PROBLEMS.. Hope you get rid of your annoyer. If didnt; please post the exact message appears on system restart, and whether it appears in a MSGBOX or a pop-up window ? If uncertain, capture the screen and post the image.
