Im not sure i'll be able to help, but let me try...
First of all, why are you sure your laptop has wireless cap. ? Are you sure
because the type and model of the notebook you have has wireless by default
configuration? In this is the case, there is still some chance that your pc
doesnt actualy have a wireless card. Let me explain what i think. I bought a
Dell Inspiron 1525 at my local dealer. When i checked the configuration of
this notebook online on numerious online stores... it usualy showed the 1525
to have 2Gb of RAM, 160Gb hard disk...., however the comp. i bought had 3Gb
of RAM and 250Gb hard disk. There are also many other diferences between my
notebook and the specifics found in the adds for this comp. What i am trying
to say is, if the only reason why you think you have a wireless card
integrated is because the specifics listed for a latitude say sow, there is
still a small chance that it is not so. Otherwise, have you checked what
your BIOS hardware listing shows, does bios list a wireless card? And what
NIC cards are shown when you open systeminfo in windows - type systeminfo in
the cmd? Did you buy the notebook second hand? I received a CD with my
notebook with all original drivers, so perhaps thats what you need. What
does your device manager show for your network cards? Have your tried to
rollback the driver? As you can see im guessing here because you provided
very little information to use.
