When you say you disabled the network adapter, which one? Your 'normal' wireless one? or the USB one? In Device Manager are there any devices indicated with ? (question mark) ! (exclamation mark) or x ??? The no supported wireless adapter message comes from your wireless card monitor program and will occur if the device is 1: disables, 2: has any of the device manager indications ? ! or x I have seen numerous occasions where windows will sometimes have problems loading the device driver to a NIC and to get the NIC (whether wired or wireless) back working you need to disable (in device manager) then re-enable.
