I run Vista on a Toshiba Satellite (laptop) I bought in 2007. I
recently bought an external LCD monitor (Gateway LCD FHX2300) - I'm
trying play a game on the monitor (ie I hook up the VGA cord, which
usually automatically cues the external monitor) but when the game
starts up it only shows on the laptop monitor. I AM able to watch
movies on the external monitor by just pushing the WinDVD window over
to the external, then expanding it - but I don't understand why the
game won't engage in the external.

Maybe I need another cord for the LCD monitor, any advice? Anyone who
plays PC games must have dealt with this before.

(FYI the game I'm playing is HalfLife 2, Episode One, which demands a
lot but the system manages.)

Any insight appreciated.
