I have a 1tb Western Digital My Book Essentials 2 External Hard Drive. I have worked with it for months on my iMac, which has been on the fritz lately. So i bought a HP mini netbook with Windows 7 Starter. I hooked up my external hard drive and it is recognized in the Printer and Devices and also in Computer Management but I can not access the disk through my windows browser. I tried to give the disk a letter but the menu comes up in all light grey, and unclickable. The disk works fine I even managed to partition a part of the unused memory making me be able to write new files on it, but what I really want to do is access previous data on the primary partition.
Also the file system on the unaccessible partitions are blank where all my usable ones are NTFS. Is there any fixes that can help me bypass these barricades.
