Intel Processors later then the Pentium 2 I believe will turn the
computer off or reboot the computer due to heat issues.  Most of the
time this is due to dust getting into the fins on the processor heat
sink and fan.  After the heat sink has overheated to the point the
computer will reboot then you might as well get a new CPU fan and
heatsink.  One main reason is because the thermal grease that is
between the processor and heatsink has probably broken down due to
heat.  But this is only assuming that it is a heat issue, and not
another issue like a faulty driver.  A system restore could tell you
what the problem is 90% of the time.
