before you try anything like recovery or fresh installation ،you should backup anything on the computer....and i know you cant open it....so you need something like 'ULtimate Boot CD' to backup and copy what you need.
Try getting windows cd and run a repair installation ،،،،i think the issue will be solved. Im back،،no good excuse..
