will a laptop boot if the AC Adapter is dead? I have a Toshiba Satellite A355D-S6922 laptop, it won't boot, it is making the sound of booting, but the screen is black, and the battery is reading that it needs charging.
But no matter how long i leave it plugged in for, it just shows that it needs charging. Could the Ac Adapter be dead, could it be the battery or both? I bought a hard drive thinking the hard drive was dead, but it still does not boot..what could be the problem?
