In safe mode, from the Start menu, all programs, locate and open the antivirus program you have, while if you dont have one, this would be another story since the message (pop-up window) would be fake and could be a malware issue. Anyways, download one of the antiviruses available or purchase one, I would recommend you use Avira Antivirus, since it is good and free(for home users) after you install it, the program will require an update and then will start to scan your computer by itself. Now after it completes, download and install Spybot S&D, continue with the on-screen information. If they both installs correctly, and did their job successfully, you will have no problem on the computer.
Please note, if you have an antivirus program already, dont install two antiviruses program at the same time, it could get to malfunction and delay in response..how to know ??? in the (task bar??), near the clock, what programs are running ? if you already have decent good one, then use it(double click and take full system scan) or uninstall it, from the Add/Remove Programs in the control panel and install a new one.
