You should set both the DVD drive and the IDE hard drive to Cable Select. Both drives should have a diagram on the label showing the position for Cable Select (CS) Master, or Slave. If you set both to Cable Select the order will be determined by the position in the cable that the drive is in. Shouldn't matter for this purpose. The one thing that will matter is once you install the drive, make sure you go into the BIOS and 1) verify all three drives show up and 2) that your boot order shows you are booting off the SATA HD. Usually most BIOS settings having a priority simply for "Hard Drives" and then there's a sub-menu for Hard Drive Priority. Make sure the SATA drive is at the top of the priority.
