According to CNET Download, the best free anti-virus program among the
masses, as well as CNET's own editors, is avast! Free Antivirus, while
the most popular, by approximately 2.72 to 1 (yes, I've calculated the
ratio), is AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2011.

Of course, you'll need to uninstall Norton Internet Security before
installing either of these anti-virus programs (or any other anti-
virus program you decide to download and use), as, according to
Windows, two or more anti-virus programs running at the same time can
conflict with each other.

Hope I've helped you out.
