I am not going to talk bad about AVG but it is still free and you do get what you pay for unfortunately. I would just choose an Anti-virus and Spyware protection and do weekly checks and watch where you go on the net, or anyone else goes on the net on that computer for that matter. Glad you got the email back, and hopefully you didn't miss anything important.
