inspiron is acer correct? i had a friend who had an acer laptop, it had a problem in the connection between the board and the screen it self that would lead to getting a white screen, trying to move the screen by closing and and opening it a bit sometimes help, but i better solution to make sure that this isn't the issue is to try to attach an external monitor, just to know if its the monitor or not.
