I'm missing something on your question. your computer records the sound along with the video if done properly, if you have a working soundcard i.e one you can stand, your search for audio is over. May I suggest MythTV or Freevo or easiest of all, installing KnopMyth which is a version of Knoppix customized for MythTV installation and usage.
