Sometimes there are glitches in transmission of the installer files
that wouldn't happen if you download and install locally. I always
download updates first, then install locally.
No, I did the autoupdate. I"ll download them first from now
on.....and wait a long time before doing it. I have not updated
itunes to the one that came out a month or so ago because I had heard
of problems with it. But, the software I have the most problem with
IS my iTunes so I think I may have to do the upgrade.
My USB ports show up correctly in System Profiler with one external
hd on one and the USB port extender with various other items on it.
But my second hd that is plugged into the 4 port extender doesn't
show up. All of this worked fine before the update so that's why I
linked it to that.
